If you encounter an error in Canvas where you are unable to watch lecture videos past the first segment, this can likely be resolved by clearing your web browser’s cache or by using a different browser.
Chrome or Firefox are the recommended browsers when using Canvas. This article will contain instructions for clearing your cache in both Chrome and in Firefox.
Clearing Your Cache in Chrome
1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Click the Chrome menu icon located in the top right corner of the browser.
3. Select More tools.
4. Select Clear browsing data…
5. Check the Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files checkboxes.
6. Click the Clear Data button.
7. Return to Canvas. You may need to refresh the page. The videos should now work properly.
Note: These instructions were made using Chrome Version 111.0.5563.65. Steps may vary depending on what version of Chrome you have installed.
Clearing Your Cache in Firefox
1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
2. Click the menu button in the top right corner of the browser.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select Privacy & Security from the left side pane.
5. Press the Clear Data… button under Cookies and Site Data.
6. Make sure the Cached Web Content option is checked and press Clear.
7. Return to Canvas. You may need to refresh the page. The videos should now work properly.
