Course Survey Logon Error Workaround - Instructional Services
Objective: Modify user email in Canvas to access course surveys when this user error occurs.
Steps:
- Go to account tab on the left-hand toolbar.
- Under account, select settings.
3. Under “Ways to Connect”, select “+ Email Address”.
4. In the Register Communication tab, enter your CSU email and select “Register Email”.
Note: This email needs to be either firstname.lastname@colostate.edu or ename@mail.colostate.edu.
If one email address does not work, try the other.
5. Once you register your CSU email, a confirmation notice will pop up.
Go to the inbox of the email you have added and select the link to confirm registration.
6. Go back to your account settings in Canvas. Now that your CSU email is confirmed, select the star next to that email to set it as your primary.
7. Take the course survey.
8. Change your primary email back to the former one by selecting the star next to it, or you can keep your CSU email as the primary. If you would like to remove an email from your account, select the trashcan icon next to the star.
